'We're getting married! Why do we need an authorised celebrant?' Getting married is fun, it's romantic, it's an opportunity to celebrate your partnership with family and friends. There's lots to plan. Will we marry at home? or venues to book?, menus to consider, the invitation list, the rings ... and the dress? or the suit? Two dresses? Two suits? and the cake! It's such a wonderful and exciting time, it's understandable that the last thing a you might consider are the processes, that make sure your marriage is legal and registered with Births Deaths and Marriages. You need an authorised celebrant to help you with that. Finding a celebrant that is right for you, might mean shopping around. All authorised celebrants are listed on the Attorney General's web site, so if you have a celebrant in mind, it's a good idea to check that they are listed on this site. Thank you again for everything you did for us. The whole process was stress free because you were so understanding. Good communication all through. And the ceremony made so special with the added touch of the poem. Best of all, you are a local.
